A purposeful life !!

We often live without a specific aim or a definable objective. This only shows our ignOrance towers attaining a meaningful life. A sense a purpose is so very important in our lives as it guides us and shows us the path to the lives we want to attain. Purpose also instills a sense of passion in us and give us a reason to wake up in the morning and give our best from the very first minute. I feel that this sense of passion is one of the most important human needs and I also believe that if we live our day full of passion and enthusiasm to play at our best , then it can be said that our day was utilized to the best of our potential . Signing off for now with a small quote : Potential unrealized turns to pain.
Borrowing from robin sharma KEEP LEADING WITHOUT A TITLE.
Thank you.

National Chemical Laboratories Talk Series #2

Went to this lecture in NCL innovation park , Pashan as a part of their Popular talk Series where scientists from NCL and other places give talks on the most intresting subjects.
Today it was by this guy who talked about BIONICS . Great speaker and humuros too.
Anyway,
The idea of Bionics has intrested me in the field and its a MUST know if you're trying to find solyutions to some Major problenms. It tells you to find inspiration in nature and how to use nature to solve your problems.

eg - Bullet trains , Velcro etc all of them come from the solutions around us.
The Shinkansen 500 (bullet train) takes its inspiration from a Kingfisher bird. It's design resembles that of a beak of a kingfisher. This is done so as to reduce noise , Drag and uneasiness for passengers.

If you've ever seen a kingfisher dive , it never makes a splash. Similarly ,  the train cuts thorugh the air managing to reduce the Drag and noise. Here are the pictures comparing them.

Notice the resemblence between the beak and the train.
This is done so as to reduce the high
pressure area created in tunnels and to cut through air using the principles of aerodynamics.

I think BIONICS is an a amazing outlook to solving problems in a way that will last longer. I have tried to instill a slight interest in you about BIONICS and the NCL talks.
The next one is on Extra terristial creatures. Please register at www.excitingscience.org/register.php.
